I love this tree. It's close to 50 years old, huge, beautiful. It used to be the home of a little red squirrel, who stood guard, made angry noises and gave chase if any other squirrel approached.
This tree took over my backyard: it does not allow certain other plants to grow, but it's gorgeous during the warmer seasons, provides shade for us and food for the squirrels:)
Today was a day of beautiful bright sunshine and cold, of course:
